Fresh Sushi at Affordable Prices
Opened in 1999, Sushi Company began when owner Tamiko Ogura decided to apply her over 17 years of experience in the take-out sushi business to open her own store. Originally from Tokyo, Japan what Tamiko enjoys the most is the interaction with her customers and being able to provide quality sushi at affordable prices. With both her staff and customers, she perpetuates the family orientated nature of her shop and has watched many of her customers' children grow up. She is joined by her business partner Okitsugu Yagi who manages the administrative aspects of the store. Also from Okayama, Japan he has over 8 years in the take-out sushi business as well. Together with their part-time staff of six, the Sushi Company works hard (earning an A+ with the Better Business Bureau) to provide you with the best sushi at reasonable prices with aloha.
The Sushi Company creates many of the mixes and seasonings that make their sushi and other items so unique and tasty. From the vinegar mix used in their sushi rice to their original garlic chicken sauce, from their tempura sauce to their spicy ahi donburi mixture, they also use fresh ahi and fresh hamachi that they cut themselves. We also use many local ingredients including avocado, cucumber, lettuce, sprouts, soba, and ogo from Molokai. To maintain tradition and authenticity, many of our ingredients also come from Japan including inari, kanpyo, airflown fresh hamachi, and somen.
